What does a copywriter do?
Good question. Thanks for asking. I can't speak for every copywriter in the world, but my approach can be split into three important parts.
First, I'm an advocate. Just like a barrister, I will present your 'case' in the most effective way possible.
Second, I'm an actor. When I write your copy, I'll be thinking about your customer. I'll be in their shoes, thinking their thoughts, understanding your message from their point of view.
Finally, of course, I'm a communicator. That means more than being simply a good writer. It means using the writer's craft to make sure your message is received clearly, written persuasively and acted upon.
